Top Navigation and Maps Apps on Android in Dominican Republic: Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, the top navigation and maps applications on the Android platform in the Dominican Republic showed varied performance trends. According to Sensor Tower, these apps have demonstrated interesting patterns in downloads and active users.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained consistent weekly downloads, averaging around 6.3K, with a peak of approximately 6.9K in late April. Active users showed a gradual decline from 381K to 324K in the early quarter, before rebounding to 359K by the end of June.

GPS Map Driving Directions experienced a significant surge in weekly downloads, peaking at 11.8K in early May, followed by a sharp decline to below 500 by late June. Active user numbers mirrored this trend, reaching a high of 11.9K in early May, then stabilizing around 6.2K in late June.

Camera Location: Geotag Photos saw weekly downloads fluctuate, starting at 1.4K and decreasing to 313 by the end of the quarter. Active users showed a similar pattern, beginning at 1.8K, peaking at 2.6K in mid-May, and ending at 2.1K.

Google Earth maintained stable weekly downloads, averaging just under 1K, with a slight decline towards the end of the quarter. Active users started at 4.9K, peaking at 5.1K in early April, and gradually decreased to 3.6K by late June.

Finally, Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer displayed a steady download pattern, with a notable increase to 1.3K in early May. Active users followed a similar trajectory, starting at 2.6K, peaking at 3K in mid-May, and ending at 2.5K.
